Created by Lynn Toomey in honor of her hero mom, Carol Toomey, who passed away from Ovarian cancer in 2023 at the age of 87. Carol was a true hero, leaving a difficult and unhealthy marriage in 1973 to raise four children on her own with courage and grace.
A beloved 3rd-grade teacher for 35 years, she inspired hundreds of students (and her daughter Lynn) to believe in themselves and do good in the world. Carol always reminded Lynn to be the hero of her own story. This message is the inspiration behind Lynn’s movement and her trademarked motto, Be the Her in Hero®.
